Hazy orange languid pour with a very thin white cap. Huge sour guava, supporting mango and passionfruit, with solid vanilla beans, and harsh rind in nose. Taste is much the same, the harsh rind is found in the finish, quite a contrast with the sugary vanilla and sour tropical fruits. Feels surprisingly sour foremost, sweet second, thick yet bright, some acidity lingers. Strong on the palate, but has good moments for a hot day

Appearance: Pours a tawny amber color with a two finger orange-tinted head; good retention and streaky lacing

Smell: Sweet and slightly tart jammy plum and cherry tones with a hint of elderberry and oak

Taste: Moderately sweet fruit tones, up front, with plum, cherry and elderberry; a bit of tartness through the middle is a prelude to a somewhat dry finish that is brought on by the oak

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: Much more approachable than the other Rodenbach beers but I prefer the depth of flavors in the others

Loaded with very dank hops… and I love dank. VERY pungent on the nose and palate; slightly hazy, but if this was done in a full NEIPA style or made by a lesser brewer, it would be cloying. Here, there is a slight bit of crispness at the end that saves the beer.

Draft at brewery. Looks like milky orange juice, ring of finely beaded head. Aroma is equal parts vanilla and orange popsicle. Taste is mildly sweet with a smidge of orange peel. Creamy, velvety, silky, smooth. Wonderful body. I could ( but probably shouldn't) drink this all day.

Cloudy, vibrant, dark orange with a half-finger of white head. It maintains a nice crown and leaves sheets of lacing.

Big tropical fruit juice aroma: guava, papaya, passionfruit, pineapple, mango and such.

The taste is even bigger. Super fruity tropicality with a little citrus as well.

Medium bodied with tight, lively carbonation.

Smells of slightly dank piney hops and citrus.

Tastes of tart grapefruit with a bit of pine apple and mango. It has a slightly bitter finish. The alcohol hides well.

Medium light body with light prickly carbonation. Dry clean mouthfeel.

This is world class and delicious!

Hazy pale pastel yellow with some floating chunks, must be the sangria portion of this “sangria hybrid ale”. Thin layer of foam settles to a thin string of bubbles along the outer rim.

Aroma is zesty and tropical, white peach tea, mango and pineapple.

Taste is tart and fruity with a green Sabro hop edge. White grapes, peach, tea, lingering Brett funk in the aftertaste. Light and effervescent, though it eventually has a softness to the carbonation as it slowly tapers off. Not aggressively sour, this definitely has a more easygoing cocktail punch vibe.

Murky pale gold pour, virtually no head save some webbing. Smell is decently expressive with strawberry, lemon, lime, and hints of leafiness. Tastes like watery sprite soda, very odd. Feel has very high carbonation for maybe that is why my mind goes there so quickly with the lemon and lime. Otherwise feels light, wispy and dry. Interesting to have a beer with soursop but wanted it more in the spotlight that it is

June 24, 2021 - I got this almost by mistake. I've only had a couple of goses before and didn't much care for them.
This is a deep pinkish red, clear. One finger of slightly pink head recedes quickly leaving almost not cap at all, just a few tiny bubble on the top, No lacing. The color is different and interesting, but I'm wary of the head; Almost no aroma; A fairly robust unusual flavor, definitely fruity. Mouthfeel is okay, especially in light of the dissipated head; Definitely one of the fruitiest looking and tasting beers, I've had.

Nose brings a lot of cereal grain, little sweet doughy malt, touch of cracker and corn, straw, hint of herbal hop

Taste brings more of the same, light cereal grain, a bit of cracker, straw, and corn, grainy-sweet doughy malt very pilsner like, light herbal hop, touch of bitterness, dry finish, bit more bitterness

Murky sunny golden pour with a white collar. A lot going on in the nose, took a bunch of sniffs to process it all as I went: blood orange with accenting peach, raspberry, grapefruit, lime, with hints of passion fruit and lemon, sour and bright oak backs well. Taste is much the same, but kinds of mashes together, a juicy fruit of a saison if you will. Super fun, but depth is limited without funk or botanicals partners. Feel reflects the juiciness of the fruit too, oak is omnipresent, wet for AT saisons, very bright and refreshing with light tartness and acidity. This one was out there, fun!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bottle Lodge. This intense brew pours a
rich obsidian with dark brown highlights and a decent head of off white foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some light lacing. Nose of vanilla,
deep roasted coffee, cinnamon, dark bakers chocolate, and moderate char. Flavors
surpass the nose nicely with layer of dark rich coffee (espresso) vanilla, cream, dark cocoa,
faint tobacco, moderate char / Brûlée, and subtle dark fruits of black and raspberry as well as
touches of sweet cherry. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich coating, low
soft carbonation, and a moderately cloying sweet espresso / vanilla finish .

Overall, an excellent dessert brew from an excellent brewery!

Pours like it says, very hazy, with a light orange/yellow color that you can't see through at all. Light white head that fades quickly and leaves a little lacing down the glass. Smells of citrus and melon and some sweetness at the end. Taste is equally pleasing with big grapefruit, orange notes up front and finishes with a melon and a bit grassy (lawn) at the end. Smooth, perfect amount of carbonation, well done.

Brownish slate black body, proper tan sudsy cap with spotted lacing. Smell is exactly what you want: oatmeal, with hints of brown sugar incorporates dark chocolate, roasted malt, toast, and faint dark fruit. Taste the oatmeal is bright, almost honeyed, chocolate is milder than nose, light toastiness and roasted malt support. Classical yet light mouthfeel, creamy and full without being taxing at all.

12 oz can into a giant mug for some reason.

Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a finger of white head. No retention or lacing whatsoever.

Aromas of grapefruit, bready malt, and subtle spicy hops.

The flavor is much of the same. Grapefruit juice up front followed by some grassiness and a ton of doughy malt.

The feel is medium-light bodied with pretty good carbonation. Dry finish. Could use a bit more carbonation but very nice, nonetheless.

Overall, this is a nice radler. There is absolutely nothing special about it whatsoever, but I think it accomplished what it set out to be: A highly drinkable summer beer. Refreshing as a beer can get.

From a tap it came, inside a clear glass, showing its orange-copper color nicely. The slightly off-white head is a near perfect amount and endures. There's plenty to smell, hops and malt dominantly. The taste is juicy sweet, more dank than citrusy and certainly not dry. The glass lacing is lovely, as it witnesses each time the brew recedes. The hoppiness is mild. Even in the aftertaste, where hops usually star, they are subdued. Perhaps one benefit to the drinker from that aspect is the rich and smooth way this goes in and down. Maybe not quite the A Game when it comes to the great AIPAs, but it does have game.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Appears to have been bottled 6/3/21, so 3 weeks old.

Looks good in the glass. Hazy yellow/amber body. Nice white head persists throughout leaving excellent lacing.

Hoppy aroma with some mixed fruit notes.

On tasting, hoppy, citrusy, quite bitter.
Mouth medium, finish somewhat bitter grapefruit.

Overall, got excited when I saw "mild ale" on the bottle, but as others have said, a straight up hoppy pale ale, and a good one.

16oz can with canning date 5/19/21 into a 16oz pint glass.
L: Pours a light ruby copper tea color with an off-white thin, creamy head. Well carbonated throughout the entire pint. Head edge retention with very minimal lacing.
S: Berries, pear, esters.
T: Semi-tart berries, light stone fruit, black tea, earthy, melon, lemongrass, mystery flower that is close to hibiscus, light bitterness/souring towards the end. It is lightly sweet and there is light bitterness lingering.
F: It has a wet and slightly crisp, medium bodied mouth feel that is lively throughout the drink. It has a medium fast finish that is slightly dry.
O: A curious experimental IPA with cactus flower. It is fresh tasting with flavors that spread out and then quickly tighten back up. It leaves a slight bitter aftertaste that retains some stone fruit and mild tartness. There are no real signature hop or malt sensations. It reminds me of punch from a really big punch bowl.

750ml corked/caged bottle served in a pair of champagne glasses. Bought it at a Total Wine a few weeks ago.

Pours dark brown, a flash of brown carbonation leaves almost no head, light continuous carbonation. Opaque. Smell is cinnamon (which I wouldn't have been able to name if it wasn't listed in the ingredients), black licorice, burnt chocolate.

Taste is lots of cinnamon -- not quite enough to overpower but more than I really wanted. Vanilla, horchata and Mexican chocolate vibes, when my wife said "honey" it made me think "baklava" -- some molasses. Burnt sugar came to mind later as it warmed up.

Mouthfeel is thick, still, smooth. Overall, this is a pretty good BA stout, but not excellent. However, it might be the best gluten-free beer I've ever had.

look: 4.25 | smell: 2.5 | taste: 3 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 3

Bottled 5/4/2021

There's nothing wrong with this beer, but it feels more like an SNPA clone than an "American Mild Ale." The hops are not particularly distinct, and the malt doesn't add any real complexity, with the result being a rather middling beer. Wouldn't get it again. ABV: 5% IBU: 42
Pours a white foam that has somewhat longer than average retention, fading to a thin ring around the perimeter of the glass. Lacing is excellent, with patterns composed of dots and webs clinging to all sides of the glass. Body is a golden orange color, light bringing out orange-yellow hues. Transparent, but there is sediment/debris at the bottom of the bottle.
Aroma is disappointingly bland, with just a hint of light citrusy and tropical hop character and a bit of fruity sweetness.
Flavor is a mix of bitter hoppiness with a bit of bitter grapefruit rind and a touch of red currant piquancy and spice. Front: light to medium-colored caramel malt sweetness/character with a bit of light citrus fruitiness. Mid: light to medium-colored caramel malt sweetness/character mixed with moderate hop bitterness that has a definite bitter citrus/grapefruit pith edge and slight fruitiness in the background. Back: continued medium hop bitterness with a grapefruit pith and dry/slight harshness to it, currant-like spiciness, and slight hint of light to medium-colored caramel malt. After: lingering hop bitterness and spice, slightly chemical/harsh, as from grapefruit pith and currants, a touch of light to medium-colored caramel malt character/sweetness in the far background.
Beer is medium-light in body, with carbonation of medium intensity, resulting in a mostly foamy mouthfeel, medium-sized bubbles. Closes dry, with medium to medium-heavy stickiness on the lips and palate.

12 oz can poured into a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with 2 fingers of frothy white head. Pretty good retention. Leaves a fair bit of sticky, cobweb lacing. Didn't realize this was unfiltered, but not complaining.

The tangerine aroma just explodes from the glass, with some milder notes of fresh pineapple, grapefruit and mango. The sweet, caramel malt lingers in the back. Very floral.

Like the aroma, tangerine dominates the flavor. There's some pineapple, mango, blood orange and a touch of grapefruit. The doughy, sweet caramel malt is quite strong. Finishes grassy and herbal.

The feel is medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. The alcohol is barely existent. Has a dry finish and a lingering hop bitterness.

Overall, this is definitely a great variation on the Enjoy By series. It's definitely sweeter than its predecessors, not to mention having a lower ABV, but it's nicely balanced and disturbingly drinkable.

This is a single hop offering using Citra. Notes are tropical citrus, peach, and lychee per the brewery description. I can detect most of that in the aroma and taste. The pour gives a nice gold color with an inch of foam that hangs around some, and laces pretty well. At 6.5% it's pretty drinkable and has a nice feel too. Worst thing about this beer is the name. Super tasty, strong on the peanut butter but not overwhelming. Heavy scent of peanut butter. A really done stout that has you reminiscing for smores around the campfire.

Very unique, malty, delicious dark lager with just a smidge of smokiness at the end. Totally different from anything else I've tried, this is a beer worth seeking out - if you can find it.

A very unique, floral beer. The rosemary scent overpowers the lesser cranberry flavor, which frankly, is a good thing. Basically a thanksgiving dinner in a pint glass, but better than that sounds. Really, really good.

On tap at Lost Nation. Cloudy yellow. Smells of sweet doughy malt, grain, floral and spicy hops. Tastes of sweet doughy malt, light yeast esters, and some hints of floral hops. Light body. I had this yesterday elsewhere and was very impressed, but didn't tick it. Strangely, at the source, it's less like the Czech pilsners it reminded me so much of. Has the right sweet doughiness, but missing some hops and yeast cleanliness.

Look: It pours dark brown with a light brown head. Head retention is very good.

Smell: It has a nice, deep, rich dark chocolate aroma and a touch of coffee. It has low dark fruit notes with plums.

Taste: It has rich chocolate and dark chocolate flavors with a touch of roast and coffee. There are very slight burnt tones. There are very low plum notes as well.

Feel: It has a silky, smooth texture with a bit of a bitter bite in the finish.

Overall, a complex and well blended beer in both aromas and taste.

12oz can best by date 10/14/21 into a 16oz pint glass.
L: Pours a clear gold, medium carbonation, soapy white 1.5" head that becomes thin with edge retention. Minimal lacing.
S: Orange, pineapple, sweetbread.
T: Dried fruits, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot. Lightly grassy and light bread malt. It has a slightly light medium long resinous finish.
F: A bit of a juicy mouthfeel, light bodied, crisp, clean, semi-dry with a medium fast finish. Light bitterness lingers.
O: A very pleasant tasting well balanced and easy drinking low calorie low carb low ABV IPA. It dwells in the zone where IPAs and Pale Ales intermingle as one. It is an excellent alternative to standard IPAs and is truly a session IPA. Very good!

Much as Stone admits in the Notes below, we know them as IPA mavens (Old English and BA as Mevyns.)
So a brewer that successful has money to branch out further. And the wit is a good way to go as it is refreshing and food-friendly for summer fare.

However, Looks are average; fine foam to start, but a pretty average dishwater soon. (I peg this on the yeast, but that takes long focus... and Stone can do it.) Anyway, Smells elevate this wit; something sweet and floral (I'm saying its the Bergamot.) Tastes remain at that elevated level (it might be balance from the Citra, but I know to little about hops to know.) Finally, refreshing and crisp and soft (the last two hard to do in one bottle.)

I had Dayfall next to another untried wit by me (from Old Nation.) Both paired well with an Indian Dal Mahani, although in different ways.

The Stone genius shows itself in Dayfall. The Attitude in the label copy. Then, and more important, is the intuition to know that Bergamot solves the "cheap" problem of putting oranges in beer. I will have more of Dayfall.

On tap at The Field Burger and Tap in State College on the last hurrah of our 25th anniversary vacation,2021. Bright and bold and super sweet. This one is a little over the top in sweetness for us, yet still enjoyable. Will be better once we get some food to go with it.

Wow I really like this take on the classic RIS. While there is one adjunct (dark brown sugar) the smartly selected Malts & Grains really help elevate this beer. There is a beautiful sweet savory smoky interplay going on that I just adore.

Purchased directly from the brewery here in Columbus. Wish I could have stayed and enjoyed a couple of pints but this is a "diligent safe short" work trip so I'm just carry out-ing everything to enjoy in my hotel room.

This beer makes me excited to revisit the brewery post covid on my next trip!

Purchased as a single 12oz can from Kroger for $1.69. Poured into a nonic pint glass.

L - Pale yellow with a three-finger yeasty eggshell-white head.
S - Coriander, white pepper, and yeast. Slight wheat base. Hint of candied orange peel and clove.
T - You could tell me this was a Hefeweizen and I'd believe you! Strong notes of clove and coriander, followed by a punch of banana and bubblegum. Slight bitterness, but not overwhelming; heavy freshly-baked bread notes. Almost a doughnut-like finish, with a slight nutmeg/allspice.
F - Slight carbonation - almost nitro-tier. Very drinkable. Refreshing and medium-bodied. Very satisfying to drink.
O - I really, really like this beer. For the sake of being objective, this hits all marks of a good cream ale! The flavor profile is well-balanced and evolves into greater complexity as you work your way down to the bottom of the glass. I will purchase this again as I see it, and I can't recommend this brew highly enough. A home run for Warped Wing!

Clear, pale yellow body; excellent carbonation; thick and frothy white head, rocky and sculpted. Outstandingly fresh and floral aroma; perfumy. Clean, delicate and refreshing taste; light cereal grain flavor; jasmine; subtle bitterness. Light to moderate mouthfeel; gentle, semi-sweet mouthfeel.

This is a pleasurable, refined and tasty lager enhanced with jasmine rice sometime during its creation. Collaboration with Breakside Brewery.

16oz can purchased off the shelf as a four-pack for $13.35 plus tax. Canned on 5/24/2021, making this exactly one month old.

Look: Pours a golden, bright yellow hazy color. The head has reduced to a thin rim.

Smell: Nice aromas of peach gummys, white grape, tangerine, and stone fruit - mango and nectarine. Very vibrant nose. There's a bit of green notes - green bell pepper - on the finish.

Taste: Very good. The light grain bill here makes the hop flavors and juiciness really shine; it's kind of like a hoppy seltzer but not (I've never had hop-flavored seltzer, so it probably tastest nothing like that). It has a bit of tangy acidity that I really like. Nice citrus and stone fruit flavors - the nectarine is very forward. The finish is moderately bitter and pithy, and lingers long. Finishes dry and refreshing.

Feel: The carbonation is perfect, it's spritzy and vibrant. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and it finishes with some crispness.

Overall: I'm not sure why people don't like this more. This is one of the hoppiest pale ales that I have had in quite some time, and I think that it's delicious and refreshing. At 5.2% ABV, it's easy drinking and it's not so hoppy that it will kill your palate and not allow you to drink a couple more if you so desired.

From instagram:
Double dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic, this flavorful Pale Ale brings you notes of honeydew melon, nectarine, blueberries and citrus. Find it everywhere you buy our beer.

330 ml can, from the brewery . ABV is 8.0%. The black can was hard to open. The opaque yellow-ish beer has a huge white head. Lovely aroma of various tropical fruits, hints of spruce. Sweet flavour with notes of tropical fruits, some citrus too, with a moderate resinous bitterness in the finish. A bit too far out on the sweet side, otherwise a good beer.

Smell - slightly west coast resiny dankness with a tropical fruit in there too
Taste - still west coast slight resin and dank but a citrus pineapple and a slight pine backbone
Feel - medium body and carbonation
Overall - interesting take on an IPA. Slightly west coast gone tropical with a very slight hazy approach
